DrinkPrime water purifier is an IoT-enabled customized water purifier that can easily connect to the plumbing system in your kitchen. It comes with a food-grade polypropylene yarn wound with a multi-layer sediment filter, and high dust holding capacity to ensure you get clean and purified drinking water.

Did you know…

  • Tap water in majority of the Indian cities is unsafe for consumption?
  • Borewell water is probably the safest, but it tastes awful and is not potable.
  • Every area has a different water quality – ranging from alkaline to acidic, but most sources of tap water are unsafe.

Over-purified vs under-purified water – Why they are both bad!

Did you know that over-purified water is as dangerous as under-purified water? Traditional water purifiers purify all water the same way irrespective of input water quality providing users with over-purified or under-purified water.

Though under-purified water contains harmful substances, over-purified water deprives your body of the necessary minerals that it usually gets from water.

How does DrinkPrime water purifier work?

To avoid over-purification and under-purification of water, DrinkPrime purifies water using four different filters based on the water quality at various locations. The filtration process is also customized accordingly. Get to know how each filter makes the water safe to drink:

  1. Sediment Filter: Removes fine, coarse and physical contaminants present in water, improving the life and efficient working of the RO membrane.
  2. Pre-Carbon Filter: Offers a high surface absorption rate that reduces harmful chemicals including pesticides, volatile organic compounds, residual chlorine, etc. from water.
  3. RO (Reverse Osmosis) Membrane: Contains a semi-permeable membrane that helps remove TDS and heavy metals like mercury, arsenic, lead, chromium, cadmium, etc. from the water.  It also removes microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and cysts
  4. Post Carbon Filter:  This filter comes in the form of granular silver activated carbon (also known as a polisher) that enhances the taste of the water. Post carbon filters remove (by adsorption principle) color, bad odor, bad taste, and organic impurities, chemical elements like pesticides, chlorination by-products (Carcinogenic), etc. from the water. The filters used in a DrinkPrime water purifier contain food-grade natural coconut shell activated carbon with a high iodine value that is custom-made rigorously tested for quality.
